Block adult content in the apps you already use.
Written October 2026. Apps change their menus often.
A lot of what pulls a man is not on a porn site. It is inside apps he is allowed to have: a feed, a row of recommendations, a message from a stranger, a trailer that plays before he has decided anything. And the standard is not only “nothing explicit.” It is nothing tempting, which no app’s own filter is built to catch. Bramble blocks adult sites across the phone. These pages cover the part no blocker can: each app’s own settings, written out step by step, with what each one changes, what it does not, and the one that holds.
Where Bramble fits
Bramble is a free adult content blocker for iPhone. Adult sites do not load, in Safari or in any other app on the phone. Pictures that would pull you are softened before they reach you. Apps you name stay shut. And with Keyholder mode, a person you trust keeps your Screen Time passcode, so a limit cannot be undone at one in the morning. It is free, forever, and no one gets a list of what you looked at. The blocking page has the full account.

Feeds and chat
Where the pull is people, rooms and a feed that learns.
- InstagramThere is no adult setting that removes suggestive posts. Turn sensitive content to Less, clean out who you follow, and close the message requests.
- SnapchatThere is no adult filter at all. Close who can reach you, tell it to show less, and block the accounts you know.
- DiscordSet the sensitive media filters to Blur, keep age-restricted servers off, and leave the rooms rather than muting them.
- TelegramCheck the 18+ filter is on, stop media downloading by itself, and never tick Always show 18+ media.
- X (Twitter)Adult content is allowed here. Mute words, stay on Following, and close message requests.
- RedditThe mature-content switch is on the website, not in the app. Leave it off and mute communities.
Video and streaming
Where the pull is the next episode, and the TV is another screen.
- YouTubeRestricted Mode, the Shorts limit, and pausing the history that feeds your Home page. Nothing in YouTube can be locked against you.
- NetflixA maturity rating that removes R and TV-MA, set from your phone or the web, which a TV cannot undo.
- Prime VideoA PIN-gated viewing restriction, set on each device. Your Amazon password resets the PIN.
- Hulu and Disney+Disney+ can cap the content rating. Hulu has no cap for an adult profile.
- HBO MaxA ratings cap on your own profile, which you can lift yourself.
How every page ends
An app can only offer you a setting, and a setting is something you can change back. What holds is a key someone else keeps: a Screen Time passcode on your phone, or the account email and password on a service. Bramble’s Keyholder mode is for the first. The keyholder walk-through takes the person you ask through it, one screen at a time.
